Co-management of Marine Resources in Arctic Areas with Respect to Indigenous Peoples and Traditional Ecological Knowledge

By Solveig Jåks, SA-Raporta/SUC-Report 2-2003 Sámi Allaskuvla - Sami University College

This project deals with co-management of marine resources in Arctic areas where the focus is on indigenous peoples and traditional ecological knowledge. The project is initiated by the Arctic Council and run by Sami University College in Guovdageaidnu (Kautokeino), Norway. The first stage of the project was supposed to last for one year, but since the funding is only for a half year, a demarcation has been necessary.
