Finland has no truly Arctic waters, meaning marine waters that are geographically located in the Arctic area. However, Finland is surrounded by the Baltic Sea, which is a temperate, brackish-water sea basin sharing many characteristics and anthropogenic pressures with the Arctic Ocean.
