Commerical fishing ban in Arctic set for Dec. 3rd
In August, American Secretary of Commerce, Gary Locke, approved a plan that will see a large part of the Arctic remain off-limits to commercial fishing. Federal officials have announced that that plan will go into effect the 3rd of December.

Canada and Greenland agree to protect shared polar bears
It looks like some Arctic polar bears that call both Canada and Greenland home will be receiving some protection from both countries. Official in both Canada and Greenland have announced that the two countries have reached an agreement on several measures that are aimed at the protection of populations of polar bears that are shared by the two countries. The bears tend to travel between Nunavut and Greenland.
